Earlier this year, we had a few Bangz Wedding Packages confirmed ready for this Summer. When the Pandemic began to unfold in the UK, back in March, we offered all those with bookings confirmed with us, a full refund. Today, we’ve spoken with all of those who originally booked and have rescheduled each of the packages for dates across 2021! Looking forward to them already. We are delighted to announce that after closing the doors 91 days ago, we now have our date to open; July 13th, 3 weeks today.
Again, a massive thank you to those who have bought the £20 VIP vouchers from us. By purchasing one, your first haircut has already been paid for and has given us the cashflow to be able to prepare fully for what NHBF (National Hair & Beauty) have suggested.

Over the next 3 weeks, we’ll be keeping you updated as to what measures we have put in place to ensure every client and every member of staff’s safety is given paramount importance upon opening up our doors!
Every day, I am watching the TV, waiting for more news on when we can open our doors again. Hopefully, that day is getting nearer.
We’ve made a big investment to ensure that when that day arrives, we are ready. Ready to open but more importantly, ready for client and staff safety to be our top priority.
I’m sitting here having a beer thinking about this past few months and jeez, I’ve missed my clients! Clients who’ve become mates over nearly 7 years of Bangz. There are so many but here’s a few of my favourites that I’ve thought of.
Aled Butty – The bloke can just make the shop fall to their knees in laughter – a very naturally funny bloke.
Peter Maroney – The driest of sense of humours, always has me in tears. The best part is, most of the time he doesn’t realise it and thinks he’s having a serious discussion!
Jonsey Bach – One of Tumble’s finest. Even though he isn’t the tallest, he packs a punch in his banter.
Dean Davies – The gaffer. Comes in the shop like a bull in a China shop. You could be in the middle of a conversation with someone and he just takes over. Massive admiration for his desire to achieve in all of his businesses.
Mathew Peachy DMW Williams – The Monk/Greek God, always the one to bring calm and lower my anxiety with his presence.
Shane Earp – Missing his wavey locks, wide vocabulary and lovely nature.
Owen Butty – The best looking mechanic in Wales – great hair and beard.
Dafydd Evans – Actor / Singer who is surely the finest act Diablos ever seen! Always makes me run behind as he loves his barnet but it’s worth it!
Ashley Williams – One of, if not Carmarthen’s cheekiest man! Everyone learns to love him. Good job he’s a red!
Sorry if I haven’t mentioned your name, there are so many I’m truly grateful to who have continued to support Bangz over the last 7 years! As a team of staff, we’ve been having a few Zoom catch up calls recently and are all genuinely getting excited for the day we get the green light to get you all back in the Bangz chairs.
We’d already got 16 players registered before COVID-19 became our nemesis.
We’d planned to run the tournament on our brand new 50” plasma at Bangz HQ but with all of this going on, we have decided to re-open the registrations and then run the tournament online!🎮⚽

After todays Government enforcement to close pubs, restaurants, gyms etc, all of us at Bangz feel it is only right to follow suit. We have to fight #Covid-19 together. So when the doors close tonight, they will unfortunately be closed for the foreseeable future. Any appointments booked will therefore be cancelled. As a business, we are sure you’d agree this is not something we’d ever thought we’d have to face but it is what it is. We look forward to opening again as soon as possible. There’s going to be a lot of people hopefully needing a good haircut!! Hopefully you’ll all book in and come and support the Bangz team! Take care all. See you on the other side!

Our MULLET MISSION continues!
If you’ve not already heard, all of us at Bangz Barber Shop are growing our mullets to raise money for Get The Boys A Lift, a not for profit, community interest organisation currently working to improve mental health within communities across West Wales.
If you haven’t heard of them over the last few months and years, you’ve been living under a rock! (Check them out and give them a follow)
Over the next few months, we’ll be keeping you updated on our mullet journeys. Anyone else involved with us (6 so far!) will be kept looking sharp with FREE sides shaves so that their mighty mullet will really take its shape!

I was watching TV whilst having breakfast this morning and I had a huge flashback. When I first started out as a Barber, in the back garden shed, there was always a great group of regulars coming through the door every week. There was always this one guy though who I particularly enjoyed cutting every other Tuesday and he always reminded me of Sir Anthony Hopkins. Not just because he would have a trim, beard shave, and the occasional nose, ear and eyebrow tidy up but probably more so for his mannerisms and anecdotal stories! Was an absolute legend. Made me realise, we don’t have half the number of customers in that age category anymore down in Pensarn. I wonder whether people of Carmarthen realise just how accessible Bangz HQ is!? We’ve literally got free parking outside our shop door, there’s a huge range of complimentary coffee as soon as you sit down and I’ve also just got the idea to start a discount on a Tuesday for the ‘elder gentleman’ among us. We’ll even get in a few cakes for a Tuesday too! Look forward to welcoming you down to us…..
